The staff here are tremendous. Gemma and Kerrie at reception were just terrific. But in general all the staff were so friendly and welcoming. They are a credit to the hotel. I took one star off for comfort as I found the beds were too soft. However this would in no way prevent me from recommending the hotel or returning myself. The food was excellent but I found it better in the bar than the restaurant. Also I thought it was funny that in the restaurant I was told they couldn't substitute anything in the menu so I had to order chips separately. I find this a shocking waste of food when there are people going hungry. I still had to take the potatoes and just not eat them. I also think it's just silly seeing as you obviously had chips there and we're making them anyway. It's just weird. We cancelled our dinner there and ate in the bar the second night which was actually far superior in my opinion anyway so we weren't disappointed. Breakfast was lovely and there was a good selection. Very family friendly hotel. The kids club was fantastic and my two boys loved it! Beautiful walk down by the lake and beautiful scenery to look out on from the bar/restaurant. We will definitely be returning.
We are well travelled and stayed at most of the good hotels in Ireland and Europe but I enjoyed this one the best
All the staff are a credit to the hotel. The food was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool. Overall exceptional service and value for money.
We had a great weekend in the Bloomfield House Hotel as usual and we will definitely be back again.
